Overview :
Alexander Point trek is an off-beat trek. It is one of the many routes to reach Matheran via trek. This trek starts from the beautiful Morbe Dam near Karjat. From here you walk for almost 2 hours going through the valley to reach Katwan village, this walking trail has few water streams and also view of countless waterfalls in Monsoon and one can also see Sondai Fort and Irshalgad from the route. From Katwan village you climb up steep through dense forest and untouched trail which is mostly used by local and you seldom see other trekkers on this trek. As you approach the top the forest opens up and you get to see the aerial view of the entire trail you walked, morbe dam, Matheran forest and countless waterfalls in both the valley surrounding the trek route. You end this trek at Matheran and then take taxi to come down to Neral, it involves 2 hours trail walk and 2 hours climb and no descend. If you want to avoid crowd and experience nature in it's raw form, then this is the trek for you.
